OUR MISSION STATEMENT
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of our entire staff,
to extend to you a cordial invitation, to vist us at Community

Advocate Program Services.  We are a grass root organization,
design to help people who are in need.  The goals of CAPS are
to provide: clothing and shoes, food baskets, personal care items,
temporary and transitional shelter, job opportunities, tokens and
vouchers for transportation, counseling, job fairs, and other
necessary services will be added as the need occur.

JOB FAIR/JOB WORKSHOP
CAPS will host two job fairs a year.  The job fair will offer companies
looking for potential employees, the opportunity to hire qualified
individuals.  The workshops will includ: assising potential employees
with, resume writing and mock interviews, as well as dress for success program.

PERSONAL CARE ITEMS PROGRAM
Personal care items include but not limited to the following:
deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and wash cloths.  They
will be distributed on a as needed basis, and upon request
from the client. 

FOOD BASKETS /HOT MEALS
Food baskets will be given on a daily basis to any person who
show a need for nutritious meal.  Hot meals will be prepared
       on site, this include breakfast, lunch and dinner, but may belimited to only  one meal a day.  We also offer non perishable food bags
to carry out.

TOKENS AND VOUCHERS
Tokens and vouchers will be made available for people who
secure employment, for the first two weeks.  Also for clients
we refer to other agencies.

HOTEL/MOTEL VOUCHERS
We are working with the Community Develpoment Commission,
 in the county of Los Angeles, on a hotel, motel, voucher plan.

COUNSELING
Caps makes referrals to outside counseling srevices such as
Los Angeles County Mental Health, Youth At Risk Program,
and Domestic Violence Shelters.
